RSVP
EventsA simple attendance confirmation form for parties, dinners, or informal events.

When to use this template
An RSVP form is deceptively simple. The ask is small — "are you coming?" — but the answers downstream determine head count for catering, table layout, transportation, and seating. This template is tuned for the social events most people host: weddings, milestone birthdays, dinner parties, holiday gatherings, and intimate company events. It runs in conversational mode by default, which matches the vibe of a personal invite better than a wall of fields. Guests answer one question at a time, and the form quietly tracks everything organizers need: attendance status, plus-ones, meal preference, and an optional dietary notes box for allergies or special requests. The whole thing takes guests under thirty seconds, and you get exportable, structured data you can drop straight into a seating chart spreadsheet.

- Attendance multiple-choice (Yes / No / Maybe) with a friendly tone
- Number of guests field capped at 10 for sanity

- Conversational mode by default — feels like a chat, not a form
- CSV export for syncing with seating charts or catering spreadsheets

Customization tips
- Add a "Song request" field if there is a DJ — attendees love it and engagement goes up
- Use conditional logic: only show the meal preference field if "Yes" is selected for attendance
- Set a deadline in the description and add scheduling so the form auto-closes after the RSVP date
- For multi-event weekends, add a checkbox for which events the guest will attend (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, brunch)
- Send a confirmation email via Resend integration so guests have a record of what they submitted
Frequently asked questions
Can I close the RSVP after a specific date?
Yes. FormGen supports scheduled close dates — set a deadline and the form will display a "registration closed" message after that point, while still preserving all submitted responses for export.
How do I handle plus-ones cleanly?
The number-of-guests field handles plus-ones at a count level. If you need names of plus-ones for place cards, add a long-text field that appears conditionally when guest count is greater than one.
Should I use conversational or traditional mode?
Conversational mode is the default for this template because RSVPs feel personal and the slow, one-question-at-a-time pace suits the tone. For larger formal events where guests just want to get it done, switch to traditional mode in form settings — it cuts the perceived effort in half.
